How it works

The short version of what PokeDrop does behind the scenes.

1. We watch retailer pages

PokeDrop polls product pages at major retailers — Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, and Pokémon Center are on the current roster — looking for stock transitions. The watchlist is curated, so we focus on Pokémon TCG sealed product rather than scraping everything.

2. We record the history

Every check writes an observation to a local database on your machine. That powers a rolling 30-day per-product stock-history view so you can see when each product was actually purchasable.

3. We help you check out fast

When a watched product transitions to in-stock, the PokeDrop desktop app can add to cart and walk through checkout on your behalf, using the payment methods and addresses you have already saved with each retailer. Purchases originate from your machine and your IP, with you in control of the kill switch.

What we don’t do

  • We do not solve CAPTCHAs or bypass virtual waiting rooms.
  • We do not handle payment cards on our servers. Checkout uses the payment methods you have already saved with each retailer.
  • We do not subscribe to third-party drop feeds. The signal comes directly from the retailer pages we poll.
